Excellent!

This movie is fantastic. At first, the concept kind of threw me. How could an animation with a bear and a banjo be any good at all? But that was changed quickly. The animation is simple yet fun, and the characters are fun to watch. The music sync was done really well, and it's awesome what ideas you had for which animals. This is great, keep up the good work. Hope you continue to produce more flash.

Great job

Thank God someone is paying attention to these video game anniversaries. Without you, we would never had realized just how old we really were getting already... geez, it was just yesterday that Genesis was battling it out with the super NES for supreme 16 bit goodness. Great job on this one, and thanks for riviving some old friends.

Erm...was it actually yesterday or...?

Awesome

I'm not a big fan of sprite flashes, but for some reason, this one caught my eye. It was interesting in the fact that you took normal sprite animation and you elaborated on it... you didn't just stick to shooting normal fireballs or ridiculous jumping. Mario was flipping around the stage, it was awesome! Cross platforming it was awesome too. Some of your effects are pretty good for your first submission.

If I were to fix it at all, I would space your timing a bit differently. Execution was a bit slow in some parts, and the movie would drag out... like when we have to watch the sequence of lives and the score dropping down.

Otherwise, great job, hope to see more, hopefully a round 2. Good luck!

You will See a Round 2 Soon!

Clever Idea

I think you had the right idea; this could have made for a hilarious epic battle between holiday creatures. However, I think you were constrained by the shades contest, and by the fact that you had a deadline to fulfill.

Overall, your story was good, just could use some work in some areas. Keep flashing, you are doing well...

Thanks for the positive feedback.

Nice!

Hail to a new frame-by-framer! Congrats on your newest creation. As you said in the title, completely random. But it was fun either way. Liked some of your techniques, great job.

thanx ^_^ nice to know there are still nice people on NG

Okay

First of all, it was not bad for a frame-by-frame. There was just a lot of little things that you need to fix before you continue on in your flash fbf's...

You need to up your frame rate. It was running slowly, and normal animation speed is 24 fps. Give that a kick. Secondly, you need to learn to utilize the whole screen, and keep the ratio of your objects in focus. You drew tiny little objects for such a large screen, use all those pixels man! Otherwise, it was a good start. Hope you continue on your flash adventures and work on your style.

Graphics were amazing, I cant even draw that well with a tablet. Congratulations, interesting submission, wonderful artwork. Hope you continue to produce more flash, very impressed with this one.

thanks alot, hopefully i'll be able to get a tablet soon then i'll be able to improve my graphics even more =)

Okay

I thought it was okay, except the only thing bugging me was the awful line fills you had. Set your lines in Flash to "hairline," that way you don't get the big awful dark lines running everywhere. Otherwise, I think you did an okay job. Could use some work, but it was humorous.

Okay, Thank you for the advice!

Creative

Both of you, nice job pushing creativity and fusing some crazy stuff together. The portal has been getting cluttered with random submissions with no real point because its the "abstract art" thing to do. Beautifully done, looked like you guys had a lot of fun. Good luck with future collabs.
