Interesting Idea

You definitely were making a statement about the wieght problem in the United States. Some moments in the animation were good; the person going in to McD's and getting the diet coke was a interesting irony.

On the flash spectrum, your transitions were well done, and your graphics were good enough for the animation. However, I think your screen ratio was a bit off for what you were actually drawing in. I think it was supposed to 550 x 400, but it looked much larger than that.

Otherwise, I think you did a good job. Some may take offense, but really, a lot of animations on NG may have people taking offense.

Right idea, wrong title

Okay, so a lot of your animation was clever, and the blood and gore was good for what it was. Nice job on that. Some of the sequences were well done, like the first one with the guy falling off the skateboard. Just getting the crap pounded out of him was awesome.

However, it wasn't all that funny. It was randomness, I can give you that. But the humor wasn't exactly what you were going for. Sure there were funny moments... but there wasn't the point of the randomness.

Otherwise, good job, keep up the good work...

Clever Idea

I think you had the right idea; this could have made for a hilarious epic battle between holiday creatures. However, I think you were constrained by the shades contest, and by the fact that you had a deadline to fulfill.

Overall, your story was good, just could use some work in some areas. Keep flashing, you are doing well...

Thanks for the positive feedback.

Interesting

Beautiful flash animation, for many reasons. The grainy film stock technique was done very well, nice job on that. Many aspects of the flash were well drawn, and the use of colors and shading were awesome.

If you were to fix anything, you had a shape tween from HELL in there. It is the part where something expands the shades jump to the metal parts. While it may seem cool to use, it is just about the most cliche thing you could do in flash.

You are new to flash, but you are doing very well. You are putting out some material that is very high quality. While everything is not perfect yet, it is still good.

Good luck on your thesis.

Nice!

Hail to a new frame-by-framer! Congrats on your newest creation. As you said in the title, completely random. But it was fun either way. Liked some of your techniques, great job.

thanx ^_^ nice to know there are still nice people on NG

Okay

First of all, it was not bad for a frame-by-frame. There was just a lot of little things that you need to fix before you continue on in your flash fbf's...

You need to up your frame rate. It was running slowly, and normal animation speed is 24 fps. Give that a kick. Secondly, you need to learn to utilize the whole screen, and keep the ratio of your objects in focus. You drew tiny little objects for such a large screen, use all those pixels man! Otherwise, it was a good start. Hope you continue on your flash adventures and work on your style.

Boo yah!

This was awesome, a stick man movie that wasn't completely awful. Interesting idea, to have hacky sack be the theme of this movie. Nice s3d effects in there too (I think thats what you used, that's what i would have used). The interface was fun as well. Overall, good movie, nice matrixesque moves, and hope to see more in the future.

Graphics were amazing, I cant even draw that well with a tablet. Congratulations, interesting submission, wonderful artwork. Hope you continue to produce more flash, very impressed with this one.

King-Watson responds:

thanks alot, hopefully i'll be able to get a tablet soon then i'll be able to improve my graphics even more =)

Awesome!!!

That was rediculous, absolutely rediculous. However, at the same time, that was incredibly awesome. Great job. Dancing animals is enough to make my day. Great animation, btw. You had a lot of animals to draw, and they were all looking good.
