We all start somewhere

Hey, congratulations on your first submission, it wasn't blammed so be happy for that.

Secondly, it was not too bad. Im not going to lie to you, but it definitely needs a lot of work. But you still have some pretty awesome stuff going on for being a new flasher. First of all, never ever make such a complex button system, it hurts my mind. Secondly, your frame-by-frame animation is pretty good. I would singly work on that instead of doing everything else. Work on your animation and drawing skills. It took me a while to figure out exactly what I am good at, and it will probably be the same for you. Out of everything you have done on this flash, your simple animations were the best. Your dress up the worst, haha. Really, I think you can do some pretty good animation if you practiced a lot, a whole lot, and keep submitting. Move your frame rate up to 24 fps, and get creative like you were in animations 1-4. Otherwise, enjoy.

thanks. I know it is kinda low frame rate, but i didnt notice how low it was till i was done :P Im not sure what you mean by 'complex button system" tho. An actually, ive submitted other stuff, but that was when i only had the trial. NOW i can actually take my time and do good stuff since i have the full version. :)

Meh

It may not be the most original idea, but as a flash programmer, I know how its not so easy to program blowing up multiple ships with bullets and so many objects being on the screen and still keeping up your framerate. Applause for that. Otherwise, you are still in need of some extra work on this piece. If you were to come to me right now and tell me you werent done and this is what you have, i would say awesome, keep it up. But this was submitted with finished products, so yeah, I can tell why this isn't scoring well. But really, keep up the good work. Hope you finish it.

Um, okay, it was good

This was a strange submission, a little bit different to what we are used to seeing on Newgrounds. However, I thought it was funny and clever. Others may think otherwise, but you did a pretty good job on it. If I was to fix anything, I would clean up the graphics a bit and work on your hitArea inside your buttons, because its hard to select things like the gamecube on the bottom shelf. Otherwise, interesting. I dont think many people would have wanted this to survive, but it did. Good job.

Nice

I liked it a lot for many reasons. The music went well with the game, and the character was fun to play with. However, I think you should modify the game so that choices are not based on luck but on instinct, like if you jump on the center stone when you are jumping the river you sink in, that just pissed me off! But either way, I played it, it was good, great job, hope to see more.

okay

It's pretty graphical for a snake game, not simple Nokia style graphics are anything. I thought it was better than most submissions of snake on Newgrounds. I think there is a bit to work on though, like the other reviewers said, music and sound would be awesome.

On another note, I dont think your high score recorder is working. Also, when you go back to the menu screen, even if the setting for speed is on (5), it will say you are a sleepwalking worm.

Either way, I thought it was good for a snake game. Better drawn, better animation. Good job.

Awesome submission

This game is great, it has an awesome concept and it really makes you think. Very challenging, I really liked it a lot. It really takes a lot to program something this good, this was not an easy actionscripting feat. Congratulations.

okay

Snake is one of the most over emulated games, ever. However, I thought you made a pretty good version. The transparent snake was a good touch, and the color schemeing was awesome. The controls were very responsive, and I like the fact that it is not stuck to a grid. Many snake games are stuck to a grid, which is quite annoying.

For fixes, I would edit your code a bit so that if you rehit any part of your snake, you die. I noticed you can move yourself into your snake or the walls a bit. Secondly, make the "apples," or blocks in your case, appear within the boundries. I had a few hit outside the wall, and even though I could hit it with the forgiving snake you made, they should land somewhere close to the inside of the box.

Anyways, great job, I hope you can revamp this version and get an awesome game going. One thing I do not see much is levels with walls, where you have to get like 20 apples before you can move on. Keep it up.

Thank you very much for the constructive tips/suggestions. I will diffenatly take all that into consideration before making the next version.I really liked your idea of getting a certain amount of blocks to go to the next level. Thanks again.

I love the artwork

The graphics before the games were pretty awesome, it looked like you put a lot of hard work into it. Pretty unique, great job, and keep up the great work.

The game selector graphics only took a few minutes =D

Awesome submission

I guess as a flash programmer, there was a lot that I saw in this game that a lot other games lack. The parallaxing effect in the backgrounds is awesome, I love the gameplay and everything is very fluid. The game structure must have been a nightmare, yet you tackled it very well. Congrats, very good job, I hope to see some more in the future.

Good beginning

As one of the other reviewers said, this would be awesome as the training part of a game. It has all the right components to it. Hopefully you will expand on this and kind of make like a training arena or something, where the camera moves for you but you have to shoot targets as you go. Nice job, hope to see the finish.
